. Andrew Shaw Trustee Expand Andrew Shaw Andrew Shaw brings a breadth of business and commercial experience to the AtaLoss Board which he joined in August 2021. He is currently Head of Strategy and Transformation for Steps To Work, a charitable organisation operating in the Black Country and helping people with the provision of personalised employment support services. Prior to this Andrew was the Director of Volunteering and Business Delivery for eight years for the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC), helping them increase their membership by over 40% in five years. Before these two senior executive roles Andrew was a civil servant, working for the Department for Work and Pension for over 30 years. Andrew has been a volunteer for nearly 40 years; as a school governor and chair of governors at a couple of primary schools and a high school, and as a treasurer, Board member and vice-chairman for CSSC. Andrew was bereaved suddenly at the age of 35 when his father passed away suddenly, and Andrew was left to provide care and comfort to his widowed mother.

Prior to that, he had over twenty years' expertise, as an advisor, investor or principal, in guiding private companies through the process of change and in sourcing equity and debt capital. Additionally,in a voluntary capacity, for 24 years until 2021, he was a Trustee of the London Diocesan Fund, including latterly, Lay Chair of the London Diocesan Synod and Chair of its Finance and HR Committees.

Jane Oundjian MBE Trustee Expand Jane Oundjian MBE trained as a counsellor at Westminster Pastoral Foundation in 1993and went on to train with Cruse Bereavement Care, for whom she worked for many years in the North Kensington area, giving one to one bereavement support to clients and helping to run counselling training sessions for the Branch. Jane has had her own bereavement experiences having lost her single parent mother at the age of 16 and also her first child when he was 14 months old. These experiences eventually led her in 1995 to write and develop a six-session group programme designed to help grieving people. She ran this course, The Bereavement Journey, for 23 years at Holy Trinity Brompton and now continues to run it where she lives, in West Sussex. The Bereavement Journey material was filmed in 2015 and the course now runs all over the UK and overseas. Jane was awarded an MBE for services to bereaved people in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2020.

.Yvonne Richmond Tulloch Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Trustees Expand Yvonne Richmond Tulloch Suddenly widowed in 2008 as a Cathedral Canon Yvonne's life went into free fall. She realised how little she and others around her knew about bereavement, its difficulties and needs, and how hard it can be to find understanding support. Since then Yvonne has focused her attention on ensuring bereaved people of all walks of life find the support that they need. In 2016 Yvonne founded AtaLoss to signpost bereaved people to the range of support services that exist across the UK, plug gaps in support where it is scarce and mobilise effective local support. Her main focus is on training faith groups and church leaders to enhance bereavement support within communities. As an ordained minister Yvonne has an additional perspective on the issues of bereavement and the needs of bereaved people. She is Bishop's Officer for clergy bereavement for Southwark Diocese, and helps Care for the Family as Chaplain for their 'Widowed Young Support' and in facilitating 'Bereavement Care Awareness' days. She is author of 'Faith Questions in Bereavement' and leads a national on-line The Bereavement Journey course several times a year. Although founded by a Christian, AtaLoss is a charity run by people from all backgrounds and its service is for bereaved people whatever their faith or cultural background, wherever they live in a UK. He has worked for a number of national charities and has served on a strategic Government working group so understands the political landscape. She has a demonstrated history of working with the voluntary sector addressing poverty and welfare issues faced by the most vulnerable in the U.K. Strong strategic and on the ground experience driven by a faith commitment to social justice.
Hamish Elvidge MBE Adviser Expand Hamish Elvidge MBA Hamish Elvidge is married with four children aged 31 to 40. He had a 30-year career at J Sainsbury plc as Finance, IT and Change Director and finally, as Competition Inquiry Director before retiring in 2010. He is chair of The Matthew Elvidge Trust, which was formed after his third son, Matthew took his own life, aged 23 after a very short period of anxiety and depression. He was a member of the National Suicide Prevention Strategy Advisory Group (2012 -2022), founding member of the Universities UK Mental Health Advisory Group, Founder and Patron of the Support after Suicide Partnership and Founder of the Schools Wellbeing Partnership. Hamish received an MBE in the King's New Year Honours in 2023.

Bereavement Friendly Communities are a connected web of organisations and individuals that provide support and seek to improve the lives of bereaved people within their community. Lindsay is based in Birmingham. She is developing a Bereavement Friendly Community in her own neighbourhood and is helping us to develop an effective model that can be replicated elsewhere in the UK. Rebecca van der Westhuizen Adviser Expand Rebecca van der Westhuizen Rebecca is an experienced Director having spent the majority of her career as a senior fundraiser within the third sector. She was a trustee of AtaLoss until March 2023 and is now advising the charity on fundraising. From her years of working in fundraising & communications, she has knowledge on raising vital funds from various income streams and catering communications to engage and inform supporters. Like many, Rebecca has experienced bereavement in her own life, and is an advocate for supporting people at the earliest opportunity through their bereavement journey.
