WAVE was formed in 1991 by 8 bereaved women to provide care and support to anyone bereaved, injured or traumatised through the civil unrest in Northern Ireland, irrespective of religious, cultural or political belief.

All counselling is free of charge and in accordance with ethical and BACP professional standards. WAVE also provides a voice to those who have been bereaved and injured by recording their stories.

WAVE Counselling operates Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm in all 5 project centres (Armagh, Ballymoney, Belfast, Derry Londonderry and Omagh). There are also evening appointments available in both the Belfast and Armagh centres (5pm – 8.30pm). Tailored services are delivered to all ages - from ages 6 years and upwards.
