Scottish Cot Death Trust provides support for anyone bereaved through the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child.

This support is for all family members, friends, carers, and professionals.

All support is outreach which means support is delivered where and when it is needed it, no matter where in Scotland a person lives. Bereavement support workers provide ongoing personalised care for each family member for as long as they need it, which might be emotional or practical help. They can also ensure each family member has all of the information and resources they need at any time in their bereavement whether recent or many years ago.

Bereavement counselling for adult family members and professionals and play therapy for children is provided FREE of charge.

Peer support through an online support community or through one-to-one befriending is available for any adult family member.

Group sessions support on specific themes and family support days are arranged when funding allows.

Scottish Cot Death Trust also provides evidence-based advice on infant safe sleep through FREE education sessions for professionals, parents and carers to help to reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy.
