Rainbow Trust provides emotional and practical support to families whose son or daughter is affected by a life threatening or terminal illness. This includes parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters, grandparents and help with extended family members to support each other.

Any family can receive support from the moment of their child or young person’s diagnosis, (including antenatal and neonatal periods when diagnosis has been made) and support with young people during transition towards adult services up to the age of 18. The Trust can be contacted for support at any stage of illness from diagnosis, during treatment and into bereavement. Very importantly, there is no time limit to the care they provide.

Anyone can refer a family to us (for example, a family member, friend, health, education or social care professional) provided consent from the family has been given for the referral to be made.

The Rainbow Trust has regional branches. Please use the location filter to search for a branch in your area. They do not currently cover Wales or Scotland.
