AtaLoss is delighted to announce the appointment of Ann Chalmers MBE to its Board of Trustees. Ann brings with her a wealth of experience in the field of grief and bereavement support and education, having served for over twenty years as Chief Executive of Child Bereavement UK. During her time at the helm, Ann led the organisation through a period of significant growth, establishing it as a national leader in supporting families facing the death of a child or helping children and young people who have experienced loss.

Ann began her career as an accountant and trained as a counsellor before moving into the charity sector, where her compassionate leadership and strategic vision helped to transform services for those navigating the challenges of grief. In recognition of her contributions, Ann was awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours in 2023 for services to children, young people, parents and families affected by bereavement.

Yvonne Tulloch, Chief Executive of AtaLoss, said:
"We are thrilled to welcome Ann to the Board. Her insight, experience and passion for improving access to bereavement support are invaluable as AtaLoss continues to grow and respond to increasing need across the UK."

Ann joins AtaLoss at a time of increasing demand for support services and shares the charity’s vision of ensuring everyone can find timely and appropriate help when experiencing loss following a bereavement.
