Partnering
AtaLoss Bereavement Charity Partnerships
AtaLoss is committed to collaborating with organisations across the bereavement, charitable, public and commercial sectors in the UK.
We want to partner with like-minded organisations to fulfil our vision of ensuring everyone who has been bereaved in the UK finds timely and appropriate support to process their loss for their present and future well-being.
Together we can tackle the prevailing culture of “death denial” that makes death a taboo subject and improve the health and well-being of the populations we serve.
We want to be practical as well as visionary in supporting people through bereavement, by working collaboratively with experts in multiple disciplines.
We are grateful for the reciprocal support our Partners provide, whether through the sharing of their expertise, benefits in kind, subscriptions for services, sponsorships or encouraging donations from their workforce and supporters.
Why work with AtaLoss?
Grief affects everyone — and it affects organisations too. One in three UK adults have lost someone important to them in the last two years. Unsupported and unprocessed bereavement impacts productivity, attendance, staff retention and the wellbeing of those you serve.
Our unique, 3 tiered approach offers organisations in all sectors - bereavement, health, public, corporate and third sector - the opportunity to address this by:
Addressing grief illiteracy, adding value to employee support programmes and client services
Providing early intervention for staff for wellbeing and escalation prevention
Supporting client services, retention and referrals.
It provides practical and flexible options to bridge the bereavement support gap — whether you want simply to direct to our signposting website, equip your workforce with training, or enter into a formal partnership for mutual benefit.
What we offer organisations
Depending on your context, we can offer:
1. Signposting — direct for free to AtaLoss.org, free of charge, to add immediate value to your employee or client wellbeing offer. This complements your own support by helping bereaved people find the range of services and information that are right for their circumstances, to provide holistic, all round care. (See why our signposting is unique).
2. Training
Online Training — 2 x Level 1 30 minute recorded awareness training modules ( £5 per person per module) and 3 x Level 2 professional CPD 1 hr recorded modules (£30 per person per module), purchasable through our website. [Our training modules will be available soon.] Contact us for information.
Bespoke In-Person Training — tailored to your organisation. Chargeable as a fee or payable by donation (tax deductible) this is costed depending on the number of hours involved (preparation, travel and delivery) and the number in attendance, plus expenses, and starts at £1,000 plus expenses.
3. Community Support — signpost staff or clients to our award-winning The Bereavement Journey® peer support programme, available in over 600 UK locations and online.
