Join us at St Paul’s Cathedral
Friday 30th October 2026, 5pm
You are warmly invited to a special service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of AtaLoss and launch the Bereavement Matters Season.
This special service will bring together bereaved people, bereavement and healthcare services, national and community leaders, dignitaries, public figures and others committed to improving how we respond to bereavement, from across the UK.
Open to everyone, through music, readings and prayer, we will celebrate 10 years of AtaLoss, remember loved ones, acknowledge the wide-ranging impact of bereavement and affirm the importance of support.
During the service there will be a special time of remembering, when candles will be lit in memory of loved ones, with names on display.
We really hope you’ll join us.
Bereavement Matters Season
Bereavement Matters is a new sector-wide two-month season during November and December, supported by leading bereavement charities. It will build upon and enhance the various grief and bereavement awareness weeks, themes and opportunities throughout the period, to:
Shine a light on the realities of grief through lived experience and stories
Amplify key moments
Spark more conversations about death and grief
Promote the importance of bereavement support.
Please give your support to this season by:
Raising awareness of the season
Using the branding and sharing messaging
Organising an activity, and
Signposting people to ataloss.org for support.
We very much hope you will join us at the launch and participate in the Bereavement Matters Season.
