James Normand

James joined the Board of Trustees of AtaLoss in 2022 and assumed the Chair in 2024. 

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978, James spent much of his career in the field of corporate finance advice.  He is currently executive chairman of an investment company in the technology sector. 

For 24 years until 2021, James was a member of the Bishop of London’s Council and of its Finance Committee (latterly as Chair).  He served three three-year terms as Chair of the House of Laity of the London Diocesan Synod, and four terms as Lay Chair of the Chelsea Deanery Synod.  He and his wife, Celia, live in London.
