Bereavement Matters Season
Bereavement Matters 2026
To mark our 10th anniversary, we are launching Bereavement Matters, a new annual season running throughout November and December.
This season will:
Shine a light on the realities of grief through real stories of loss: of children, parents, partners and more
Amplify key moments including the ‘Season of Remembering’, Remembrance Sunday, Child Bereavement Awareness Week and National Grief Awareness Week
Help people find support in the lead-up to and over Christmas, often one of the hardest times of year for those who are grieving
Spark a national conversation about death, grief and support
A moment to gather
We will launch the season at a special 10th anniversary Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral on 30th October, bringing together bereavement services, national and community leaders, dignitaries and public figures committed to change.
