Overview: Revd Lisa Coupland, recent star of The Traitors (BBC), has become the newest Ambassador of AtaLoss.
Revd Lisa Coupland, the Church of England priest who first came to public attention on series three of BBC’s The Traitors, has become our latest celebrity ambassador.
Since her appearance on the hit television show, Lisa has become a familiar voice and face on daytime TV, BBC Sunday morning radio, and in national magazines. She is known for her warmth, authenticity and willingness to talk openly about life’s most profound challenges, using her profile to raise awareness of issues that matter and to bring encouragement and hope across the UK.
Lisa’s commitment to supporting people through grief is deeply personal. She was bereaved at a young age following the death of her grandparents who raised her and more recently journeyed alongside members of her community affected by COVID. Her experiences, combined with her ministry as a parish priest, have given her profound empathy for the isolation many feel in bereavement.
“Walking with people through loss, and having experienced it myself, has shown me the difference a helping hand can make,” Lisa said. “Grief touches us all at some point and I’m proud to be an ambassador for AtaLoss, sharing support and understanding with those in bereavement.”
Yvonne Tulloch, Founder and Chief Executive of AtaLoss, says:
“We are delighted to welcome Lisa as an ambassador. Her openness, compassion and ability to connect with people will be invaluable in raising awareness of the importance of bereavement support. Lisa’s voice will help us reach many more people across the UK with the message that understanding and help are available.”
