AtaLoss CEO Speaks With Prime Minister About Bereavement Support

Author: Deborah Auty

Date: 2nd April, 2026

Our CEO, Yvonne Tulloch, was delighted to be invited to attend the Prime Minister’s Easter Reception at 10 Downing Street on Monday 30th March 2026.

The event brought together faith and charity leaders from across the sectors to recognise the impact of their work.

During the reception, Yvonne had the opportunity to speak directly with the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, about the importance and cost-effectiveness of investing in bereavement awareness and community support. We hope to continue the discussion on how support not only benefits individuals and families but also reduces pressure on wider health and social care systems.

It was a real privilege to represent the bereavement sector in this conversation,” said Yvonne.

The evening also provided an opportunity to meet and reconnect with other leaders driving positive change in their communities.

AtaLoss remains grateful for the ongoing engagement through the APPG on Grief Support and the Impact of Death on Society, and to its Chair, Maureen Burke, for continuing to champion this vital issue at a national level.
