TCF - The Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is a national peer support charity for bereaved parents, adult bereaved siblings (aged 18+) and grandparents offering support after the death of a child, from one month old up to an adult child and from any cause. Our support is facilitated by bereaved parent or adult sibling volunteers. Our national helpline is here for parents on 0345 123 2304 – we aim to open every day and as often as possible between 10am and 4pm and 7pm and 10pm.

The Compassionate Friends also offers:
Grief companions offering peer support by phone or email to those in early bereavement in UK locations where there is no other TCF support
Local in person support groups and 1:1 local support contacts
Private and moderated Facebook Groups for loss in all and specific circumstances and online sharing sessions for loss in specific circumstances
Occasional supportive weekend retreats and bereavement support days
Online sharing sessions for loss in specific circumstances
Supportive walks for the bereaved parents, siblings (18+) and grandparents in some areas of the UK
Information leaflets, bereavement support publications and a unique postal library on all aspects of bereavement
A comprehensive website and moderated private online Forum
