Rainbows Bereavement Support GB
Rainbows Bereavement Support GB is a national charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who have experienced significant loss due to death, separation, divorce, or other painful transitions. Through age-appropriate, peer-group programmes delivered in schools and communities, Rainbows Bereavement Support GB helps participants express their feelings, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Programmes Offered:
SunBeams: For children in Foundation Stage and lower Key Stage 1
Rainbows: For children in Year 2 and Key Stage 2
Spectrum: For young people in Key Stages 3 to 5
SunRise: For children and adults with additional learning needs
Silver Linings: A community crisis response programme for ages 5–18
Each programme is facilitated by trained adults within a safe and supportive environment, encouraging participants to share experiences and emotions with peers facing similar challenges.
Training and Resources:
Rainbows Bereavement Support GB provides high-quality training for school staff and community leaders to implement these programmes effectively. Ongoing support and resources are available to ensure facilitators can confidently guide participants through their grief journey.
