Paid bereavement support services (not free), are available both nationwide online and in person in Brighton, UK, from Jessica Conway Counselling.

She offers compassionate bereavement support for adults navigating grief, loss and life transitions.

The service provides a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where individuals can explore and process difficult emotions at their own pace. Jess is a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor support to each person’s needs.

Bereavement is understood as a deeply personal experience that can bring feelings such as anxiety, low mood, confusion or a sense of being stuck. Counselling sessions focus on helping clients make sense of their grief, develop self-awareness, and find ways to move forward while honouring their loss. Support is available on a short- or long-term basis, with an emphasis on building resilience, self-compassion and a renewed sense of hope.

Sessions are offered face-to-face in Brighton, as well as through walk-and-talk therapy, telephone and online counselling. Online support is available to clients across the UK, making the service accessible regardless of location.

In addition to one-to-one counselling, Jessica Conway Counselling runs a free weekly bereavement meet-up:

You can join the group every Wednesday at 4pm at MEO Café in Brighton.

This provides an informal, supportive space for people to connect with others who are experiencing grief.

An initial consultation is available to explore individual needs and determine whether the service is the right fit, with ongoing sessions typically lasting 50 minutes.
