If you die in circumstances that mean organ donation may be a possibility, the doctors and nurses caring for you will discuss donation with your family as part of the end of life care discussion. The law changed and now you are automatically opted in to donate so if you don’t want to donate, be sure to tell your family that you do not wish to donate and to also opt out using the form on the official organ donation website.
