One more gift from the tree – recycle to raise funds
Register your Christmas Tree for collection and help us raise vital funds for bereavement support.
We know that Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for bereaved people.
AtaLoss is running another ‘Christmas Treecycling’ project this year, to help us raise vital funds towards our mission to support more bereaved people through signposting and community support and raise even more awareness in 2026.
Thanks to our charity partner JustHelping (national organisers of the Christmas tree appeal), we are able to offer people across the stretch of the Sussex Coast between Chichester and Brighton – and surrounding areas – a collection of their real Christmas trees. These collections take place in early January and save you the hassle after Christmas of disposing your tree.
The process is simple, simply visit https://www.just-helping.org.uk/register-tree and enter your postcode.
If your area is covered by our collection, you can register your tree/s (up to 3) – you’ll be prompted to leave a donation of your choice for this service.
Between Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th January, our fantastic team of volunteer helpers will work their way along our routes, collecting trees and dropping them off at our dedicated wood-chipping site.
Why not save yourself a job over the New Year? When you register your tree you are not only helping the environment, but supporting a brilliant cause – one which is able to help so many over the Christmas and New Year period.
Registrations close on Wednesday, 7th January at midnight.
