TREmendous TRE
Sadly, grief isn’t something we can simply think ourselves out of.
As Bessel van der Kolk, psychotherapist and author of the best-seller The Body Keeps the Score said: “Nobody talked you into grief, why are you expecting to talk yourself out of it?”
Grief often shows up in the body, e.g. as tension, fatigue or even unexplained aches and pains.
When the body carries what the heart can’t express, it’s often asking for a gentler way to release.
That’s where TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises, developed by David Berceli, PhD) can offer support. It's a body-based practice that allows your body to unwind what words can’t reach and let the body do what it is naturally designed to do.
Once you’ve learned how to practise TRE safely, it becomes a lifelong tool for self-care and balance.
I’m Sylvia, a certified TRE Provider with a foundation in counselling (COSCA) and I hold space for those who are ready to address their grief in a healing and somatic way.
And if this resonates with you, I can share more about how TRE can support you in a free fact-finding chat.
Natural. Innate. TREmendous.
