The Seddon Legacy Project
The Seddon Legacy Project is a community-led initiative supporting bereaved children in Northamptonshire. Founded by Anne-Marie following the loss of her children's father to suicide in April 2024, the project offers free, volunteer-run services to help children navigate grief in a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly environment.
Services are scheduled as per group meetings and school sessions; please contact for specific timings. The service is open to self-referrals and referrals from professionals. Referral forms can be submitted via the website.
Support Offered:
The Starlight Group: A monthly peer support group for children aged 3–10, featuring memory-making crafts and open conversations about grief in a relaxed setting.
Bereavement Befriender: One-to-one support within Northamptonshire schools, providing emotional assistance and a tailored bereavement support plan in collaboration with school staff and safeguarding teams.
Mini Mourning & Me: A chat series designed to facilitate discussions around grief and bereavement.
The Funeral Friend: Guidance and support for children attending funerals, helping them understand and cope with the experience.
