Love Leo

Love Leo is a non-profit community organisation based in the London Borough of Havering, supporting families following the loss of a baby before, during or shortly after birth, at any stage of pregnancy. Founded in 2024 in memory of baby Leo, Love Leo provides a safe, welcoming space where bereaved families can connect with others who understand their experiences.

They said: “We support bereaved families after the loss of a baby before, during or shortly after birth at any gestation in pregnancy. Ensuring that no family has to face baby loss alone and that each and every baby is remembered always.”

The organisation offers peer-to-peer support groups, activities, events and opportunities for families to meet, talk and build connections. Support is available whether a loss was recent or many years ago, recognising that grief has no end date.

Remembrance is an important part of Love Leo's work. The organisation has established a baby loss remembrance tree in Hylands Park, Hornchurch, where families can have their baby's name displayed. It also holds an annual Service of Remembrance during Baby Loss Awareness Week, alongside other remembrance displays and activities.

Love Leo is run by bereaved families, for bereaved families, with a focus on reducing isolation and helping families feel understood and supported following baby loss.

Families who have experienced the loss of a baby before, during or shortly after birth, at any gestation.
