Josephine’s Star supports children aged 5-18 who have experienced the loss of someone special to them. They offer 3 services including 1-1 face to face support. All the sessions use a mixture of talking and creative activities to enable children to express their grief in a safe and supported space. They offer a series of 6, 1 hour one-to-one sessions with each child, where they can explore their grief and develop coping strategies. Each child will alos be offer a grief support pack called “little Bag Of Help” containing activities and resources to support the initial extrapolation of the child's grief.

Referrals can be made by a family member, school or healthcare professional and must be with the agreement of the carer and child concerned. Check the website for details.
