Bereavement Café is open to anyone, irrespective of any connection to Forest Holme, who is trying to deal with grief while in the midst of busy schedules and the demands of work and family.
Grief is a deeply personal journey, yet it’s one that often feels isolating, especially when dealing with the profound loss of a loved one, family member, or friend. The Bereavement Café offers an opportunity to pause, enjoy a coffee and cake, and share or reflect with others who are experiencing similar emotions and challenges.
It is FREE to attend with a free hot drink and cake and is facilitated by specialist volunteers, who are able to help signpost if you are looking for further support.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by loss or simply need someone to listen, our community is here for you.
The Bereavement Cafes run at three different locations as follows:
Café at Lighthouse
Bereavement Café at Lighthouse takes place on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month between 10am – 11.30am.

Colin’s Nest at Eagles Mount Care Home
Bereavement Café at Colin’s Nest takes place on 1st Monday of the month between 2pm – 3.30pm.
(*except when it’s a Bank Holiday, then it will be 2nd Monday)

Bereavement Café at Marjorie House takes place on the 3rd Monday of the month between 10am until 11.30am.
