Ben Jacob

Ben Jacob is an Underwriting Partner at Syndicate 2791 at Lloyd’s. He has 28 years of experience specialising in insuring complex marine and energy risks placed by brokers into the London insurance market and has been with his company since it was founded in 2001.  He chairs and is part of several committees including the Joint Hull Committee which is elected by his peer group and represents the interests of the London Hull market globally.

Having lost a younger sibling during his childhood, Ben understands personally the profound and lasting impact of bereavement, an experience that has continued to shape him throughout his adult life.

He has had numerous Charity trustee roles principally represented by 17 years as Church Warden of St Peters Brighton and is currently a trustee of 4M UK which provides challenging adventures in outdoor environments.

He brings an entrepreneurial spirit having been involved in successful business and charity start-ups from foundation and growth, to thriving.
