Professor Anna Lise Gordon
Anna Lise is Professor of Education at St Mary’s University, a National Teaching Fellow and AtaLoss Subject Matter Expert on ‘Education Professionals Supporting Children in Grief’.
A former secondary school teacher of languages and local authority adviser, Anna Lise moved into initial teacher education and led the School of Education at St Mary’s University for many years. Currently, in her role as Co-Director of the Centre for Wellbeing in Education , she works with a range of postgraduate students and on wider research and practice projects related to mental health and wellbeing in schools. Her work includes a commitment and passion for bereavement in education as a means of supporting children and young people, and their teachers, to navigate challenging times of death, grief and loss.
