Move 10km on our 10th Birthday.
Every step gets us closer to our goals
Saturday, 19th September 2026
Ten years ago, on the 19th of September, AtaLoss became a charity.
After being devastatingly widowed, our CEO Yvonne Tulloch was determined that nobody should struggle to find support when bereaved. Ten years later, that same determination continues to drive our mission.
To mark our 10th birthday, take on the challenge your way:
However you want to get moving, you could:
do your 10k all in one go or spread it across the day
complete it a different day or across several days
complete your 10k with friends, family or colleagues
Gathering a group to complete the 10k together is a great opportunity to open valuable conversations on bereavement and grief support.
Ask people to sponsor you to raise funds for AtaLoss.
You could choose a £200, £500 or £1,000 Armband so people know your fundraising aim.
Taking part is easy.
Want to get involved? Here is what to do:
1. Reach out
Let us know you are getting involved and completing a 10k challenge on or around Saturday, 19th September. supportercare@ataloss.org
2. Prepare
Consider ordering your free AtaLoss Armband/s to help with raising awareness and donations. They are also great as sweatbands to wear on the day!
3. Set up your sponsorship page
Set up a JustGiving page for your sponsorship. The QR code on your armbands will direct people to a list of active AtaLoss fundraisers, meaning they can select your page and donate right away. We can help you get set up with this.
4. Share with your network
Share your 10k challenge with your network for their commitment in advance of, during and after the event.
However you choose to achieve 10k you can use the opportunity to talk about the importance of bereavement support and the work of AtaLoss and to share your story. We’ll be grateful for however much people give and however much you raise, and we can share your story too.
