Surrey Suicide Bereavement Service (SSBS) SSBS support families and individuals as they grieve helping them to access all the resources they need in the short, medium and long term to include counselling and other support services needed in the moment. In the short term, the service helps families who are dealing with the loss of their loved one. SSBS can help to review the family’s situation, and provide support and advocacy as needed. In the medium term SSBS supports families as they grieve, and if needed they can help them access individual or family counselling. In the long term SSBS helps to ensure that families have all the resources they need to support themselves and each other in the years to come.
