"Yvonne brings a huge wealth of expertise and experience to the course" -Cliff College
Workshops for churches in supporting the bereaved and becoming bereavement friendly or a week long certificated course.
Every year in the UK over h alf a million people die in a culture that is generally death denying. Millions are left bereaved and facing huge problems, with those around them not familiar with their troubles and sometimes contributing to the pain.
There are many organisations offering excellent support but the bereaved seldom hear of them and local support is scarce. Many struggle on alone after initial attention has waned, or they put their grief on hold, risking their mental health.
AtaLoss.org is committed to encouraging local support. We offer:
Practical seminars for conferences or church groups in supporting the bereaved and ensuring they feel comfortable in church.
We also recommend Care for the Family's 1 day Bereavement Care Awareness Day for churches.
Following any of the above training we suggest churches regularly offer the HTB Bereavement Journey Course as a local provision for the bereaved.
We ask that churches running the course add their service to this signposting website so that bereaved people locally can be directed to them. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
