GrabLife was created to provide direct support for an age group where we discovered there was very little available. It provides activity weekends and peer support for 18-30 year olds who have lost someone special at any time in life. It aims to connect with others in their position, explore the impact of their bereavement and receive encouragement and support. Participants say the experience is life-changing.

Currently, GrabLife weekends take place annually in the Peak District and provide participants with comfortable accommodation, good food and a range of activities that challenge individuals to think about their approach to life and their bereavement. Professional bereavement counsellors provide support throughout the weekend and there are many opportunities for group discussion.

It costs £500 per participant to run a GrabLife weekend. Participants make a minimum contribution of £80 (or more if they can afford it) but they are often students or not in full time employment so funds are needed to cover the remainder of the cost.  Because they have experienced the benefit of a GrabLife weekend, 'alumni' are always keen to help others following them to receive the same benefit.

Whoever you are, please consider fundraising for this amazing project, and for helping young adults turn their lives around following bereavement. Thank you.
