The Compassionate Friends UK Wide

The Compassionate Friends is an organisation of bereaved parents offering support, understanding and friendship to others after the loss of a child, of any age, from any cause.

We offer a National Telephone Helpline, staffed by bereaved parents only, who are available for support and information 365 days a year. We also offer a website and moderated online forum, local support contacts and groups, weekend gatherings and retreats, information leaflets, bereavement support publications and a postal library. Some specialist sibling support is also available.

The Compassionate Friends UK Wide

An organisation of bereaved parents offering support, understanding and friendship to others after the loss of a child, of any age, from any cause. The Coroners' Courts Support Service Across England

The CCSS is a registered charity whose trained volunteers offer emotional and practical support to bereaved families, witnesses and others attending an Inquest at the Coroner's Court.

We aim to:
- support practically and emotionally the family and other witnesses attending the Coroner’s Courts.
- liaise with other parties appearing before the court to ensure their understanding of its role and the procedures, in order to facilitate its smooth and effective administration.
- to signpost families and witnesses to other agencies if so requested, for ongoing help with coming to terms with their bereavement.

The Good Grief Project UK Wide

The Good Grief Project is the only bereavement charity in the UK dedicated to understanding grief as an active and creative process. We provide support to families grieving after the untimely death of a loved one - in particular a son or daughter. We deliver practical and therapeutic courses in film, photography and mindfulness. We also have a catalogue of films for hire.

The Last Kiss Foundation UK Wide

Helping support families who suffer the trauma of babyloss by providing hospitals with cuddle cot cooling systems and other items required to enhance their bereavement suites to make it feel more homely. Also to provide bespoke training in grief to midwives.

The Loss Foundation Across England

The Loss Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated solely to providing bereavement support following the loss of a loved one to cancer, whether that be spouses, family members, friends or colleagues.

We provide a variety of support events to help people at any point during their loss, and create the opportunity for them to meet others who have experienced something similar. We also educate and empower others to support those who are grieving via our workshops and training.

The Lullaby Trust Across England Across Wales

The Lullaby Trust provides support for anyone bereaved through the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child.

This support is for families, friends, carers and professionals.

We have different ways of supporting you through this difficult time; we provide a range of services and can provide details of other organisations which might be helpful.

The Lullaby Trust also promotes expert advice on safer baby sleep to help to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
