Child Bereavement UK NHS Service Greater Glasgow and Clyde offer a range of services to support parents and families bereaved of a child or who have a child who is expected to die and also support to all staff within NHS GG&C who are affected by the death of a child.

 

Parents:

  • 1:1 or couples support face to face, through Walk and Talk sessions, via video or by phone
  • Support at ward level when a baby or child is dying or has died.
  • Parents Support Group
  • Medical Termination of Pregnancy support group

 

Staff:

  • 1:1 support for staff throughout NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
  • Staff informal drop-in at our room in the atrium of the Royal Hospital for Children
  • Input to Multi-disciplinary meetings
  • Debriefs both for regular case discussions or following the death of a child in a department
  • Training in Bereavement Awareness and resilience.
