United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust The Specialist Family Practitioner Team, Oncology, Palliative & Bereavement Services use counselling skills and therapeutic play activities to encourage children and young people to express themselves and understand their thoughts and feelings about how they are or have been affected by bereavement of a parent, child or sibling in the family. They also support parents who have experienced the death of a child or young person under the age of 19 years, known to the service or with other siblings. Unfortunately, they are UNABLE to offer an individual counselling service or support for families affected by stillbirth or miscarriage or those affected by the death of an extended family member (aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc unless they are the child's legal guardian).
